Youth worship for another year at Satellites Event 2026

On Friday 6th August, a group of 29 leaders and young people from Bourne Baptist Church set off for Bath & West Showground to join thousands of other young people from across the country for another incredible year at Satellites, an annual Christian youth event led by Youthscape.

Satellites is a week packed with worship, seminars, prayer, activities, music and opportunities for young people to grow in their faith and connect with others. For our group, the week provided a chance to step away from the usual routine, spend time together and experience something truly special as a youth family.

From the moment we arrived, there was a real sense of excitement and anticipation as young people and leaders gathered together for the week. Across the event, we had the opportunity to take part in powerful times of worship, hear from inspiring speakers, explore what it means to follow Jesus and enjoy plenty of time together as a group.

One of the highlights of the weekend was seeing our young people engage so wholeheartedly in the different sessions. Whether through worship, prayer, discussion or simply spending time together, there were plenty of opportunities to reflect, ask questions and grow in faith.

Beyond the main sessions, the weekend was also about community. With activities, food, conversations and plenty of laughter along the way, it was a valuable opportunity for our young people to build friendships and create memories together.

One of our young people said:

“I really enjoyed a lot of the seminars that took place at Satellites, a lot of them spoke on topics that aren’t ever talked about in church, and it gives an eye opener into some of the very deep topics that are prominent among us young people.”

Another young person said:

“It was my first year at Satellites and it was an amazing experience, I never went to church before hand, and had never really thought about my faith and relationship with Jesus but after the week, I know that Jesus is always there for me and he loves me. I am also very thankful for Nathan, our Youth Worker, who put so much time and effort into Satellites and for everyone else who came to Satellites who supported me during difficult times.”

As we travelled home on Tuesday 11th August, there was plenty to reflect on from the week. We are thankful for the opportunity to have taken 29 leaders and young people to Satellites and for everything we were able to experience together.

A huge thank you goes to Youthscape who organised the event and our leaders who gave their time and energy to support the young people throughout the event.

We look forward to seeing how God continues to work in the lives of our young people following what was an unforgettable week at Satellites 2026.
